CONSPIRACY AGAINST KING
PLOT AIMED AT GENERAL RISING United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 23, 7.15 p.m.) CALCUTTA, May 23. Believed to have been connected with many sensational terrorist crimes and armed brigandage, 35 men are now on trial at Calcutta on charges of conspiracy to wage war against the King. Over 600 are believed to be involved in the plot, the object of which is stated to be to secure a simultaneous rising throughout India.
