AUSTRALIA’S RECOVERY
PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright CANBERRA, May 21. The Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, in a statement emphasising the remarkable recovery made by Australia since his Government took office in December, 1931, said that the Commonwealth would probably have to rely on wool and metals for a time for buoyancy in returns from overseas trade, but there were signs on every hand of advances in secondary production, and of the more active movement of investment funds.
