WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
SEADOWN. The Seadown Women’s Institute held a successful euchre party and dance in the school on Friday, the new floor being in splendid condition. Mrs J. McCully and Mr J. Southward won the trophies for the euchre, the consolation prizes going to Mrs Horwell, and Mr S. Connolly. Mrs Southward contributed solos, which were thoroughly enjoyed. During the evening. Mr W. Cam, president of the tennis club, presented the Edgar challenge bowl for the women’s handicap singles to Miss M. McCully, the winner of this year’s competition. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss B. Brosnahan and Mr J. Connolly.- Extras were played by Mrs J. Southward, Misses B. and D. Brosnahan and E. Atley. Messrs R. -T. Edgar and G. Horwell were masters of ceremonies.
