COUNCILLOR RESIGNS
“FLAGRANT WASTE OF TIME.” By Cel eg aptl—Press Association WELLINGTC J, May 19. Saying that Council meetings had become a “continued insult to one’s intelligence,” and that his time had been flagrantly wasted at many meetings, Mr G. S. Bates tendered a written resignation to the Upper Hutt Borough Council. In his letter, Mr Bates gave frank opinions on the matter in which business at Council meetings was conducted. The Council accepted his resignation, and referred it to the Returning Officer.
