CROQUET
HIGHFIELD CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Highfield Croquet Club. Mrs Curr presided. The president, in his report, congratulated members on a satisfactory season, although the weather had not been very favourable for croquet. A special vote of thanks was accorded to those who so generously gave donations and gifts for trophies, to those who had dispersed luncheons and afternoon teas, to the hon. auditor (Mr Shirtcliff), and all who in any way had helped to further the interests of the Club. Officers were elected as under:— President, Mrs R. B. Hart; vice-presi-dents, Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Turnbull; hon. secretary, Mrs G. McFarlane; hon. treasurer, Mrs McCort; captain, Mrs Shirtcliff; vice-captain, Mrs G. McFarlane; match committee. Mrs Shirtcliff, Mrs Hart and Mrs McFarlane; ground committee. Mrs Cunningham, Mrs McCort and Mrs McFarlane; delegates, captain and secretary; general committee. Mesdames Drennan. Macaulay, Johnston, Brunton, Harvey, and Vucetich; tea committee, Mrs Macaulay (convener), Mrs Brunton and Mrs Drennan.
