PEOPLE’S PRINCE
INTERESTING TOUR OF NORTH WALES. British Official 'Vtreless RUGBY, May 17. Continuing his tour of the unemployment welfare centres in North Wales, the Prince of Wales heard, while in Holyhead of an old lady of 101, who was very disappointed that she was unable to see him. The Prince thereupon drove several miles off the route to call at her home, and stayed talking with her for some time. The Prince also visited the Welsh slate quarries, and inspected the ruins of Carnarvon Castle, where he was received by Mr Lloyd George. Spreading Happiness. A centenarian, Mrs Hughes, curtseyed to the Prince of Wales, and said: “Your Highness, you have made an old woman very happy.” The Prince shook hands, and patted her on the shoulder, and replied: “It makes me very happy to hear that.”
