A RUMOUR DENIED. United Press Association—By Electrtr Tel egraph—Copyrigh t (Received May 18, 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 17. The Bank of Australasia and the Union Bank officially deny the rumour from Australia that negotiations for amalgamation are proceeding.
