THE QUESTIONS FOR MR CARR
To the Editor of “ The Timaru Herald '* Sir,—ln two letters which you published on April 12 and April 27, Mr Clyde Carr was respectfully asked to answer questions. He was requested to explain why he almost continually failed to attend the meetings of the Timaru Unemployment Committee. In addition, he was requested to explain why he was absent when the Minister of Employment visited Timaru. Mr Carr usually makes frequent use of your correspondence columns and moreover, he usually answers questions with a remarkable alacrity. However, at last, Mr Carr has been struck dumb; the frequency of his repartee is no more. He is totally unable to explain his attitude towards Timaru’s unemployment problem. It would be interesting to know if Mr Carr thinks he has been “playing cricket;” if he thinks his interest in our local unemployment problem has been "cricket.” Anyway, he has been stumped. Certainly, it behoves our member to answer any questions.—l am. etc., CONSISTENT. Timaru, May 14.
