CRIBBAGE TOURNEY WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL CUP The third round of the Geraldine and District Cribbage Association’s competition was played on Tuesday evening. Owing to counter-attractions there was only a fair attendance in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, when Mr W. Nash M.P., delivered an able address on “Labour and National Planning.” The Mayor (Mr B. R. Macdonald), who presided, briefly introduced the speaker. Mr Nash, whose address was similar to that given at Temuka on Monday evening, was followed with close attention, and. at the close, he answered a number of questions. On the motion of the Deputy-Mayor (Mr J. R. Lack) and Mr T. Buckley, Mr Nash was accorded a vote of thanks by acclamation. A vote of thanks was also accorded to the chairman. FOOTBALL CLUB. The weekly meeting of the executive of the Geraldine Football Club, held on Tuesday evening, was attended by the chairman (Mr W. H. Jackson) and Messrs H. Wilson, D. Callanan, P. Callanan, D. C.
