£25,000 ON ESTIMATES
AID FOR SUFFERERS BY EARTHQUAKE. By Telegraph—Press Association PAHIATUA, April 15. The Hon. E. A. Ransom has advised the Mayor that the Cabinet has decided to place on the Estimates an item of £25,000 from which may be made loans in necessitous cases in the earthquake area. A s Decial committee, consisting of the M nister of Finance, the Secretary of the Treasury and the Under Secretaries of Public Works and Lands Departments, has been set up to consider and determine applications.
