Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rather rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea —Moderate to fresh north to west winds changing to southerly in the southern portion, seas moderate in the northern and rather rough in the southern portion. Weather—Mainly fair and fine at first, showers developing soon in the western districts, especially of the South Island and in the far north.
