IMPRISONMENT THE REWARD. By Telegraph Press Association HAMILTON. December 11 Impertinence cost Ernest James Stead an extra three months’ imprisonment when he appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day on charges of being in arrears on orders for the maintenance of his wife and child. After being examined a sentence of thi montl current, on each charge wa* imposed it being shown that defendant had refused relief on the grounds that his wife would only "collar" the money. •"Are you satisfied now. McCormack." defendant commented to the maintenance officer. Mr S. L. Paterson S M . on hearing ;fv remark amended the entences to run cumulatively.
