SEQUEL TO RAID
arrest of ri m-rinsing crew HALIFAX (Nova Scotia), Dec. 8 Kidnapped members of the crew of the Canadian cutter have been liberated and the captors arrested by the French authorities at St. Pierre. Under cover of darkness the Kromhout slipped into the little French possession off the coast of Newfoundland. which had been warned to look out for the vessel. The police arrested the captain aw crew of the Kromhout. Four Canadian coast Ruarrismen were raptured on Thursday by the crew of the suspected rum-running craft Kromhout. who turned on th< guardsmen as the vessel w:c* being towed into port. Striking quickly, the Kromhout' crew overpowered their guards and cut loose their ship, which was being towed by the Stumble Inn and were soon out of range oX the coastguard s guns.
