South 86 for 9 wickets beat Waimataitai 35. The best scores for South were made by A. Earl 18 not out, and R. Gumming 17 not out. Bowling for South F. Stare took 7 wickets for 11 runs, and B. Andressand 3 for 23. Main 108 for 6 wickets (declared) beat West 16. Chief scorers for Main were G. Verdun 55, L. Downward 19, A. Boyd 12. For West, Smith took 4 wickets for 24 runs, Howard 1 for 17, Bowling for Main R. Gribben took 5 wickets for 6 runs, L. Downward 4 for 7, N. Gould 1 for 3.
