RECORDS ESTABLISHED By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 10. The Australian and New Zealand records for 150 yards free style were broken by the visiting Australian champion, Miss Frances Bult, when she won the final test against the New Zealand champions at Auckland on Saturday night. Miss Bult led throughout and registered'lmin 41 4-ssec. This time eclipsed by 2-ssec the Australian record established at Sydney on February 9, 1929, by Miss Jeaij Cocks, and was also 2 3-ssec faster than the New Zealand record made last February by Miss Farquhar. Miss Mona Leydon, who Miss Bult beat by five yards, finished li yards ahead of Misses Barbara Lewin and Edna Rainey, who dead-heated for third place. No less brilliant than the free style of Miss Bult was the breaststroke of her companion, Miss Claire Dennis, woman champion of the world. Although beaten by J. Magee, men's champion of Australia, in the 150 yards scratch race in 2min 2sec, Miss Dennis returned 2min 2 2-ssec, easily the fastest time ever made by a woman In New Zealand.
Misses Dennis and Bult leave tomorrow morning to swim at Matamata, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington.
