FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA.
WIDE AREA INUNDATED. United Press Association—B, Electric Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, December 8. The flood menace it causing great alarm at Kerang, where earth embankments have been erected for one and a half miles on the western side of the totvn to meet the flood waters, which are rising. Two churches and the State school have thus far been marooned and seven houses flooded. All night vigils are being kept, as a big flood is expected.
