RADIO RECEPTION.
To the Editor of " The Tlmaru Herald ** Sir, —Last Friday night I listened In to 3YA’s new transmitter testing, and unfortunately, although it came in with immense power, it has not got rid of the distortion and fading which ruins the reception of the present station at night time in Temuka dis-
trict. The day time reception on Saturday was excellent. The higher wavelength will probably shift the zone of distortion and fading at night further from the station, but It will not get rid of it. The only remedy is a relay station at Timaru. We have the same thing in regard to Masterton and Palmerston North in connection with 2YA.—I am, etc., LISTENER IN. Temuka, December 5.
