HIGH SCHOOL OLD GIRLS

REUNION DINNER One of the most successful functions organised by the Timaru High School Old Girls’ Association took place last night in the Bay Tea Rooms, when the annual reunion dinner was held. That a very keen interest in their old school exists was shown last night, when more than 100 guests sat down to dinner at tables prettily arranged with arum lilies and banksia roses. At the conclusion of the dinner, a musical programme was given, and two plays were presented by the Drama Circle. Apologies were received from Mrs William Raymond, a member of the Board, and Miss Watt, formerly principal for many years. Those present included Miss J. R. Barr, principal of the Girls’ High School, who wore a frock of nut brown lace; Mrs B. H. Low, a member of the Board, who was in black georgette and lace; Miss Clare Morton, president of the Old Girls’ Association, whose frock was of lemon coloured angel-skin lace; and members of the committee, including Mrs D. S. Kemshed, Mrs J. G. Duncan, Misses Beryl Stevens, Clara Palliser, Isa Young, Margaret Martin, Jessica Thomson, Marion Oxford, Cora Stevens, Marjorie Tizard, Adelaide Allchurch, Betty Williams, Betty Holdgate, Chrissie Wilson, and Belle Morton.
