ROAD MANNERS.
Bad manners cause accidents. Legislation cannot improve road manners. Precept and example can. The road does not belong to any single or separate section of us, but to us all. Because the road belongs to us all, always give cyclists and others plenty of room. Drive sympathetically past men repairing the roads. They will acclaim you as one who knows. Avoid leaving your car unattended for long periods in front of private houses. Residents have the first right to leave their cars outside their houses. I Never hold the crown of the road | when faster vehicles wish to overtake you. ! 'When descending a hill give way to | slow-moving vehicles coming up. I When you give way to the driver of another car to pass you, help him to do so comfortably and speedily. Many minor accidents are the results of motorists not giving other road users the courtesy they expect themselves.
