MADEIRA CAKE. 3 eggs, their weight in butter and sugar, the weight of 4 in flour, i teaspoon baking powder. Cream butter and sugar, add 3 eggs well beaten, add flour and baking powder. Bake in a moderate oven about 1 hour. Grated lemon rind, or chopped o; d can be added if liked and a strip of peel put on top, when cake is half cooked. This mixture makes small cakes baked in greased patty pans, fiteen minutes.
