The Opihi, which was held at Timaru on Friday night owing to rain, loaded for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth on Saturday and departed for Lyttelton. The Holmglen, which also was delayed overnight on Friday, took Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato shipments on Saturday, and sailed for Lyttelton. To-morrow the Gale is scheduled to arrive from Dunedin to continue loading for Wellington and Wanganui. She should get away for Lyttelton again the same evening. The motor vessel Foxton should be an arrival from Lyttelton, to-morrow. She will load for Foxton and is due to return to Lyttelton again that day. Waihemo Coming. The Waihemo, bound for New Zealand from Pacific Coast ports, left Rarotonga on Thursday last and Atiu on Saturday. She is due at Auckland on October 22, and will later proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Australia. Record Shipment of Pineapples. The Canadian National Steamships steamer Canadian Victor, left Brisbane on October 3 for Montreal via ports with a quantity of general cargo. Included in her cargo is 17,000 cases of canned pineapples for Canada, which is stated to be a record shipment from Brisbane. Cargo From Montreal. The Canadian Cruiser was to leave Melbourne for Dunedin on Thursday, and should reach there to-day to discharge cargo from Montreal, and load for Ne wYork, Boston and Montreal. The vessel will sail on Tuesday for Lyttelton to complete discharging and loading. Notice to Mariners. The Marine Department advises that, until further notice, the radio beacon and fog signal at the Cape Maria Van Diemen lighthouse will be out of service. The Tauranga Harbour Board has advised the Marine Department that Nos. 3 and 4 red buoys have been shifted 090 degrees, 100 ft, and 80ft respectively. Phosphate Loadings. The British steamers Antiope and Zouave, both under charter to the Weir Line, are now bound from the United Kingdom to Ocean Island or Nauru to load phosphates for Australia or New Zealand.
