THE WEATHER
Mr F. L. Woolcs. Wind—Strong westerly to southerly ruling. Weather—Changeable, showers at times and colder. Dominion Meteorologist. General situation— One of the westerly depressions deepened and moved eastward rapidly on Thursday night, and is now crossing the Dominion. Another depression has already reached eastern Australia. Winds—Moderate to strong west to south winds, later veering again to north-west at most places. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Moderate north of East Caiie, elsewhere rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman Sea—Moderate to strong south-west to westerly winds and rather rough seas. Weather—Squally and changeable; rain at times in most districts and possibly some thunder; temperatures becoming cooler.
