Mr and Mrs Alfred Bunz.. of Christchurch, are the guests of Mr and Mrs N. D. Mangos. Craigie Avenue. Mrs G. Somerset, Papanui. Christchurch, is the guest of her daughter. Mrs Dudley Jeune, Fairlie. Miss Vincent, Te Kainga, Wai-lti Road, returned on Wednesday from a visit to Christchurch. Mrs H. W. Reid. Dunedin, will arrive to-day to stay with her daughter, Mrs E. Howden, Park Lane. Miss Marion Hay, Wai-iti Road, has returned from a short visit to Christchurch.

Mrs F. Cargill, Christchurch, who is the guest of Mrs Wilford Scott, Maltby Avenue, will return home to-day. Mrs James Grant, Gray’s Hills, Mackenzie Country', who was the guest of Mrs A. Grant. “Algantighe," Wai-iti Road, returned home yesterday. Miss Florence Dick, Wai-iti Road, will leave to-day to spend the weekend with Miss Vera McLauchlan, Waimate.

Mrs Nevill-Smith and Miss Amy Nevill-Smith, "Silver Birches,’’ Sophia Street, will leave to-day to spend a few days at the cottage at Geraldine. Miss Patricia Courage, Amberley, will arrive to-day to stay with Miss Diana Orbell. Levels, for the Craighead Diocesan School sports. Mr and Mrs Wilfred Kalaugher are the guests of Mrs C. Miss Inger McLennan, of Christchurch, well known in Timaru as “Pauline," a mantle and millinery specialist, and who has latterly been associated with the firm of Smith and Caughley (Auckland), has been appointed manageress of the mantle and millinery showroom of the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association in Timaru.
