EASIER CONDITIONS REJECTED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 18. The Divorce Bill introduced by Mr A. Henry (Country Party), making insanity and seven years’ separation divorce grounds, was defeated in the Legislative Assembly by 50 to eight votes on the second reading. The Bill had caused widespread controversy.
