The mixed Karachi eleven in the first innings made 99 against the M.C.C. team. Nichols took three wickets for 41, Langridge three for 23. M.C.C. in the second innings made 70 for four wickets. Karachi in the second innings made 103 for six wickets. Townsend took four wickets for 30. The match was drawn. BROADCAST OF MATCHES. By Telegraph —Preaa Association CHRISTCHURCH, October 17. A suggestion for the control of broadcasts of representative matches was approved by the management committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association to-night. It was agreed to forward a remit for consideration by the New Zealand Cricket Council at the general meeting “that (a) the New Zealand Broadcasting Board be granted permission to broadcast a description of the play in representative matches, no fee to be charged for the privilege, the home association to have the right to select or approve of the announcer, the Broadcasting Board to permit newspapers in the main centres other than that in which the match is being played to use the broadcast description. or. (b) the Broadcasting Board to be charged a fee for the right to broadcast.’*
