By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, October 16 At a meeting of the Council of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce tonight, it was resolved “that this Chamber protests most emphatically against the increasing habit of the Government in bringing before the House most important Bills such as the Central Reserve Bank Bill, without affording the public any previous opportunity rt considering their effect.” The Council also passed a resolution approving of the establishment of a Central Bank, provided there are adequate safeguards and secure management free from bias or influences other than economic considerations.
