UNREST IN SIAM
GOVERNMENT TROOPS IN THE FIELD. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SINGAPORE, October 12. A rjsing occurred among troops in Eastern Siam, who have captured the Donmuang Aerodrome, which is the regular landing stage of air services. Thirteen kilometres from Bangkok the rebel troops encountered the Government forces from the capital. Firing occurred, but no details are available. Martial law has been proclaimed. Their Majesties are staying at the seaside. Armed guards have been placed at the Legations and foreign banks. The population of Bangkok Is quiet. The Siamese Consul at Singapore expects the Government to restore normality in two or three days.
