WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
RANGITIRA VALLEY. The September meeting of the Rangitira Valley Women’s Institute was held at “Woodlands, ’’ Mrs Talbot presiding over a fair attendance of members and visitors. The Roll Call for the month “What Grandma Done Without," caused a lot of amusement. The results of the photo guessing competition were as follows: Mrs Talbot 1, and Mesdames Barker, Kennedy and McCullough (equal) 2. For the next meeting play-reading was decided upon, Mesdames Davey, Barker, Talbot, Green. McCullough and Miss N. Stewart being selected to take part. A few minutes were spent in community singing, Mrs S. G. McCullough acting as pianist. The hostesses for the month were Mrs Tozer and Miss N. Stewart.
