Seven hundred and eighty-six casks offered, of which 290 were sold. Present spot quotations are:—Mutton —Fine, 25/-; fair to good, 20/- to 24/-; dark to dull, 19/- to 20/-. Beef—Sweet and/or mixed, 22/6 to 23/6; fair to good, 19 6 to 22/-; dark to dull, 18/- to 19/6. Mixed—Fair to good. 19/6 to 22/-; dark to dull, 18/- to 19/6. Gut, etc.—l7/6 to 19/6, Hemp. Manila—Market quiet, but steady. Value of “K" grade for September/ November shipment £ls/10/-. Sisal— Market firm, with fair demand. No. 1 for September/November shipment quoted sellers £lB 2/6. New Zealand— Market unchanged with no first-hand sales reported. Eggs. Market is weaker. English—National pack 14/6 to 18 6. English—Ordinary pack 15/6, Danish 11/- to 13/6. Fruit. Business slow.
