GOVERNMENT ACQUIRES TWO. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, September 5. The Postmaster-General, tb~ Hon. Adam Hamilton, announced to-day that following long negotiations, he had, in his capacity as Minister of Post and Telegraphs, taken over from Lewis Edie and Coy., the Auckland broadcasting c ation, IZR and from the 2ZW Broadcasting Service, Wellington, Ltd., the broadcasting station, 2ZW. Tl. change in control took effect from yesterday. The stations will continue to be operateU for the present by t’" ’ former owners. Later, it Is expected th_y will form part of the national ' -cadcasting service. A fuller statement will be made by l ie Minister at a later date.
