JAPANESE TRAINING SHIP
ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND. B 7 Telegraph—Pres Association AUCKLAND, August 26. The Japanese Govemm.nt’s training ship Shintoku. Ilaru, arrived after a voyage of 6035 miles from San Diego, Califo- .ia. She carries 70 cadets in training for the mercantile marine. She will stay a week, and then sail for Kobe. The vessel is a four-ma§ted. J3ft£<luer’ - tine, with auxiliary 'steam engines, and under full 'ill spreads 27,907 square feet of canvas and she can lc; 13 knots without the engines.
