RETURN OF MR McMILLAN. 8y Telegraph—Press, association STRATFORD, June 24. The biggest poll in the local politics of Stratford's history took place yesterday, when Mr McMillan won by the substantial majority of 254. There are still 36 declaration votes to be counted, but the result cannot be affected. The campaign was hard fought. Both sides organised well. Fully 600 assembled outside the Town Hall to hear the result. The announcemei.t of Mr McMillan’s victory was receive ’ with - big outburst of cheering. Mr McMillan, in a statement to the Press Association, said he vas gratified for the public endorsem it of h'i policy. The expression of confidence he took as a complet vindication of his actions, subsequent to and previous to the election.
