FURIOUS MONSOON IN INDIA
TREMENDOUS DAMAGE BY STORM AND FLOODS. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 25, 6.30 p.m.) CALCUTTA, June 24. Tremendous damage was done all over India during the past forty-eight hours as the result of a monsoon of furious force. The ganges and other big rivers have overflown their banks, and railways have been breached. Thousands of head of cattle have been drowned, and the inhabitants of dozens of villages rendered homeless. Crops have been destroyed.
