GRASSHOPPER PLAGUE
SITUATION NOW UNDER CONTROL. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright WINNIPEG, June 23. The grasshopper situation shows a distinct improvement to-day, with the advent of decidedly cooler weather, following generous falls of rain in the southern portions of Manitoba. A heavy run on the poison belt stations during last week’s heat wave, has necessitated some readjustment in distribution, but officials state that the situation is well under control.
