BEAVERBROOK POLICY

RECOVERY OF BRITAIN. A brief outline of the Beaverbrook policy was given by Mr F. W. Doidge, honorary secretary of the Empire Crusade in an address to the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce recently. Mr Doidge said that there were definite signs of improvement at Home. Advertising, in his view, was one of the best indications as to the state of trade, and it was significant that advertising in the newspapers in England was on the upward trend Advertising was always to be regarded as the very life blood of trade. Mr Doidge said that Britain was holding her own while other countries were losing ground. "It is my firm conviction,” lie said, ‘‘that it is to Britain you must look now for leadership and a return to sanity and prosperity.”
