FIRES
SCHOOL DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Pr*ss association WHAKATANE, June 13. The Awakeri School was destroyed by fire early this morning. When discovered by the headmaster, Mr Os-' borne, the whole roof and ceiling were in flames, which spread within an hour and the building was completely burned. The building was recently enlarged. It comprised three classrooms and a teachers’ room.
