THE WEATHER
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate southerly to easterly; weather fair and cold. Dominion Meteorologist. A rather intense anti-cyclone is moving on to southern New Zealand. Conditions are still disturbed in the North Tasman, and barometers are falling in Eastern Australia. Expect south-west to south-east winds, still strong on parts of the East Coast, freshening somewhat in the far north; elsewhere light to moderate. Seas still rather rough south of East Cape, with a heavy southerly swell, but moderating; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Weather, isolated showers on the East Coast and in the far north; otherwise fair to cloudy. Temneratures cold, with more frosts.
