The Congregation included General Sir William Bird wood, and General Sir lan Hamilton and the Agents-gen-eral of Australia. Mr Bruce placed a wreath on the shrine of remembrance in the church, on behalf of the Commonwealth, and Mr Hal Williams, on behalf of New Zealand, owing to Sir Thomas Wilford’s absence at Geneva. Afterwards in the presence of the representatives of the British and French army and navy. Sir lan Hamilton placed a wreath on the Cenotaph, on behalf of the Empire Service League. Mr Bruce, on behalf of the Commonwealth, General Sir Cecil Romcr (Commander-in-Chief of the Southern Command) on behalf of the War Office, Colonel E. F. Lascelles on cehalf of New Zealand, and Mrs Hal Williams on behalf of the Auckland branch of the Mothers’ Union. The day was also commemorated at Woking, Harefield and Walton-on-Thames, where wreaths were placed on the graves of Australians and New Zealanders.
