Reference to the long interest taken in Rugby football in South Canterbury by the late Messrs John Skinner (donor of the Skinner Cup), A. H. Abbott (late president of the Temuka Club), and J. Collins (a former keen supporter of the Celtic Club) was made at last night’s annual meeting of delegates to the South Canterbury Rugby Football Union by the president (Mr J. O'Leary). The members stood in silence as a mark of respect.
