LABOUR’S PROTEST
OPPOSITION TO PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT'S PLANS. United Press Association —By Electric Tel egraph—Copyright WASHINGTON. March 25. In bristling language, the opposition of the Federation of Labour to Mr Roosevelt’s reafforestation programme was put before the Congressional Committee to-day. Immediately afterwards the indications were that the measure would be re-drafted. Mr William Green, president of the American Federation of Labour, denounced the programme as one smacking of Fascism and Hitlerism, and • form of Sovietism.
