EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. The first of a series of euchre tournaments was held in the public hall on Saturday night. There was a good attendance. The prizes were won by Mrs G. A. Wilkes and Mr H. Smith. Consolation prizes were awarded to Miss J. Shea and Mr Todd Dix. After the euchre, a dance was held, music being supplied by Miss Lois Dellow, Mr A. H. Dellow and Mr James Turpie.

Fishing in the Rangitata river one day last week, Mr A. Dickson, a local fisherman, landed two fine salmon. One weighed fourteen pounds, and the other turned the scale at thirty pounds.
