AMERICAN BEER BILL
FORCING OF VOTE EXPECTED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, December 22. The House adjourned to-day without acting on the conference report on the Philippine Bill. Senator Borah said, in an informal statement to-day, that the House Beer Bill was a nullification of the Constitution, because 3.2 beer was intoxicating.
The chairman, Mr Norris, of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he believed the Beer Bill came within the Constitution, and called on the Committee to consider it on Monday. The indications late to-day, however, were that the vote would be forced in the Senate on the Bill to-morrow.
