AVIATION MEMORIAL
ERECTED TO AIRMEN PIONEERS. NEW YORK, December 16. The new Wright Memorial, erected by authority of the United States Congress to commemorate the pioneer aviation achievements of Orville and Wilbur Wright, stands on a sandspit off the North Caroline coast, where the Wright brothers flew their first flying machine. Miss Ruth Nichols, holder of various women’s aviation records, unveiled the memorial.
