The British Customs decision that for Canadian grain stored at United States ports and then sold to the United Kingdom, buyers cannot claim preferential treatment, strikes a blow to Buffalo, the greatest of the United States grain ports. Buffalo has built its standing to a great extent through the storage in the winter months of millions of bushels of Canadian grain which is shipped from here as a market is found for it.
