OUTBREAK IN BRUSSELS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BRUSSELS, December 21. Three fire brigades took an hour to subdue a fire in King Albert’s magnificent palace. They fought desperately to prevent the flames spreading to the salon, where there are countless historic treasures.
The City’s entire police was sent to control the thousands of onlookers. The fire destroyed the oak beams of the dome and the supporting girders.
