MEMORIAL CCHOLARSHIP
TENABLE AT BRISTOL UNIVERSITY. OFFER BY ENGLISHMAN. By Telegraph, preps Association WELLINGTON, April 10. Mr Hiatt Bilker, of Almondsburv, near Bristol. England, who is a member of the Council of Bristol University, and whose son, Michael Balcer, lost his life in the Masonic Hotel, Napier, during the earthquake, has generously offered through the Governor-General (who formerly was chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the University), as a memorial to his son, a scholarship in perpetuity of £2OOO, to be held at Bristol University by a posl-gradiiate student from New Zetland. The offer is being referred by the Minister ol Education (Hon. R. Masters), to the New . Zealand University Senate for consideration.
