CHANNEL SWIM.
I NEW ZEALANDER PREPARING. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrignt LONDON, July 3. Miss Lily Copplestone is going to Dover on Tuesday to commence training for the Channel swim, but will not go to Grisnez until just before the attempt, as she dislikes training over the actual course. She intends to attack the Channel on August 1, or soon afterwards, according to the tides. She does not expect to be worried by the cold, as the water round New Zealand is 5 degrees colder than the Channel.
If she succeeds she will attempt to cross from England.
