BRITISH CLOTH.
APPEAL FOR IMPROVED BUSINESS. United Press Association—By Eleotrle Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, April 9. Twenty-three members of the House of Commons, including Sir John Simon and the Rt. Hon. H. B. Lees-Smith, representing wool constituencies, jointly appealed for the Wool Industries Fair at Bradford in July. They point out that British cloth, which has been famous for 600 years, is still the finest in the world. The manufacturers are most enterprising in producing new designs. They emphasise the prospects of the Wool Fair, in view of the success of the recent Cotton Fair at White City, in which orders valued at £5,250,000 were booked in a fortnight.
