ANNUAL MEETING OF COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, April 10. The annual meeting of delegates to the New Zealand Football Association was held to-night. Officers were elected as follows: President, Sir Charles Statham, additional vice-presidents, Dr. A. E. Brown (New Plymouth), Messrs G. Cox (Christchurch, late of South Auckland), H. J. Duncan (Otago), C. Lawrence (Wellington); Council, Messrs B. L. Godber, F. Campbell, H. I. Graves, J. A. Milburn, B. L. Salmon, F. Sanders, W. G. Bryce, H. Renai, A. J. Hyder. Representations in Great Britain, General Madocks; Canada and U.S.A., H. N. Holmes; Australia, R. Carlyle; hon. treasurer, Mr W. L. Wilson. A Canterbury remit that a neutral referee be appointed for Chatham Cup fixtures in provincial rounds was received too late, but the chairman (Mr F. Campbell) while agreeing, said the matter was one of finance. A Westland remit—also too late—was that minor and major Associations compete for the Football Association trophy. • Mr Campbell said he did not think the proposed change desirable. In regard to playing under electric light, delegates expressed no objection to such games, except for the Football Association trophy. The incoming Council was recommended to arange a North v. South primary schools match at Wellington this season.
