BAND GYMKHANA TO-DAY. For many years past Easter Monday in Temuka has been a day for athletic sports, but with Interest waning in such fixtures, it has been decided to forego this gathering. Thus it was that the Municipal Band decided upon holding a gymkhana, by which young and old will be given the opportunity of enjoying themselves at side-shows, races, and other forms of amusement. A comprehensive programme, has been arranged, and provided fine weather is experienced, a large crowd of visitors and residents is expected in the Domain, to join in the effort being made to raise funds for expenses to be met in the life of the Band. The public of Temuka will be given an opportunity of saying “thank you,” in a tangible form, to the Band for its public services,. GENERAL NEWS. Glorious weather was experienced in Temuka yesterday.
